My son came to visit us all the way from America. We decided to do a trip to Isimangaliso. His best friend PG from Hartenbos and my friend Robyn Sailor joined us. Some areas in Isimangaliso were flooded. We decided to make a detour to Cape Vidal.
It was amazing. Everywhere we saw little pans of water. Water birds were in abundance. Some specials we saw were the Brown Snake Eagle, Lesser Moorhen, Southern Banded Snake-eagle and the Rufous-chested Swallow.
The beach at Cape Vidal is beautiful with great snorkeling opportunities. There is always a surprise. We saw the Samango Monkeys at Vidal. We were disappointed with the amenities at the Cape Vidal Caravan Park. Its lacking maintenance.
